Our story
About Cartelier
Cartelier is building a new way to turn interior design inspiration into real, purchasable spaces.
Today, finding inspiration is easy. People generate rooms with AI, save interiors from social media, browse design platforms, and collect ideas from across the web.
But recreating those spaces in real life is still surprisingly difficult.
You need to identify the individual pieces, search across multiple retailers, compare alternatives, understand what actually works together, and somehow translate a visual idea into a room you can actually buy.
Cartelier is built to close that gap.
We use visual understanding and product discovery to connect the room someone wants with the real products that can bring it to life.
Our mission
Make inspiration actionable.
We believe designing a home should not end with a beautiful image.
Our mission is to make the path from inspiration to reality dramatically simpler: helping people understand what they are looking at, discover relevant products, and navigate options across retailers without rebuilding the entire search process from scratch.
Instead of asking people to translate a visual idea into dozens of keywords and separate searches, Cartelier starts from the space itself.
The goal is simple: when you see a room you love, you should have a clear path to creating it.
Why Cartelier exists
Inspiration became effortless. Bringing it to life did not.
The way people discover and create interior design has changed quickly.
AI can generate an entirely new room in seconds. Pinterest, Instagram and design platforms expose people to more ideas than ever before. Retailers themselves offer enormous catalogs.
Yet the moment inspiration turns into purchase intent, the experience becomes fragmented.
A sofa may come from one retailer, a lamp from another and a table from somewhere you have never heard of. The user is left to reverse-engineer the room manually.
We think that is the missing layer.
Cartelier is being built as the connection between visual inspiration and commerce: a system that understands the context of a room and helps translate it into relevant, purchasable products.
Not more inspiration. A way to act on it.
Our principles
What We Believe
Design is visual first
People do not always know how to describe what they want. They often know it when they see it. Interior commerce should therefore begin with visual context, not only categories, filters and search terms.
More choice should not mean more work
There are already millions of products online. The problem is not a lack of inventory. It is finding the pieces that are actually relevant to a specific room, style and intention.
Inspiration should not be tied to one store
A room is rarely built from a single retailer. We believe product discovery should work across brands, marketplaces and local retailers, allowing the design itself to guide the shopping journey.
AI should move beyond generation
Generating beautiful spaces is only the beginning. The more interesting opportunity is turning those outputs into something useful, actionable and connected to the physical world.
Meet the founder
Cartelier was founded by Ravit Shoval, an AI specialist, product builder and entrepreneur working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, product and commerce.
The idea for Cartelier came from a simple observation: AI had become remarkably good at showing people what their homes could look like, while almost nothing had changed about the tedious process required to actually recreate those spaces.
What started as a product problem quickly became a broader question:
What happens when visual inspiration itself becomes the starting point for commerce?
Cartelier is an attempt to answer that question — by building the infrastructure that connects what people imagine with what they can actually find and buy.
The bigger picture
We believe the future of interior shopping will begin less often with:
“I need a coffee table.”
And increasingly with:
“I want my room to feel like this.”
